Create an image-based game

Images aren't only used to illustrate content… Why not add a game to an image to get your participants actively involved in their learning. Let’s take a look!

1. To create a game with an image, add your image and add zones to it

To learn how to do this, visit the dedicated section.

2. Configure your games

Under your image, click on the “Puzzle” icon to open the game panel and select the game(s) you want to use.

– Find areas: the participant must locate a zone on the image and click on it.

– Name areas: the participant must name the zone Teach Up highlights in the image.

|| The thesaurus is enabled by default: Teach Up will accept answers close to the term to be found in the “Name areas” game.

Add a form

Want to gather information from participants, or get them to take a self-assessment? Why not add a form?

1. To add a form to your module, head to the Add content bar

Under “More” click on “Form”.

2. Add the form's title and description (optional)

The description is optional as you’ll be able to add text, questions and space for participant responses.

3. Add fields to your form

Click on “Add a field” to see the different fields you can add to a form.

The formating fields

These fields let you structure your form.

The text formating field

Title: lets you add sub-headings to give order to your form.

Paragraph: lets you add text to provide context or give instructions to your participants.

The media formating field

In this field, you can add images to illustrate your form.

Add and configure audio

A podcast, voice clip… Adding audio is a great way to make your module more dynamic. And with Teach Up, it’s a breeze!

1. Click on “Audio” in the Add content bar

To integrate audio into your module, click on the “Add” button, “Media” and then “Audio”:

There are two ways to add audio:

Option 1: Add the audio URL (e.g.: https://XXXXXXXXXX.mp3) in the “Media URL” section. Teach Up also accepts .mp4 format. Check that your URL is an HTTPS link.

Option 2: Import your audio file (MP3 or MP4) from your computer by clicking on “Upload sound” or drag and drop the file into the dedicated zone.

3. Add a title

Add a title above your audio (preferably a short one).

4. Add a description (optional)

To add a description to your audio, click on the description icon on the bottom left and type or copy-paste your description in the field displayed.

5. Configure your audio (optional)

To configure your audio, click on the settings icon on the bottom-left and select or deselect the option “Start playing automatically”. When this option is enabled, the audio will start playing automatically all by itself, p

Understanding Adaptive Learning

We talk about Adaptive Learning when the technology personalises the learning experience: users learn at their own pace, and only the skills they need to work on.

And on Teach Up?

On Teach Up, adaptive learning is made possible thanks to pedagogical artificial intelligence and embedded algorithms. These technologies analyse each participant's interactions with module content and questions and adapt the learning path accordingly (difficulty level for the next questions, repeating specific content…).

|| To feed this technology and make your participants' experience as personalised as possible, ask at least two questions per key content to test their knowledge.

|| To determine how much your module makes use of adaptive learning and Teach Up’s intelligent solutions, take a look at the interactivity gauges at the top of the module overview. The gauge will grow as you add more questions to assess users’ knowledge. For more information on these gauges, click on the ” i “ button.

Add a link

Want to add a link to an external site in your Teach Up modules? You can! Learn how!

1. To insert a link, click “More” under the “Add” bar

Then click “Link”:

Type or copy-paste your title and add the internet link in the dedicated zones. Then click OK to confirm.

3. Add a description (optional)

You can add a description to your link. Write or copy and paste your text into the dedicated space.

4. Configure your link (optional)

There are three options to choose from under settings:

Show an introductory screen

When this option is enabled, the participant sees: the title, thumbnail (image) and description. The participant then clicks on the "Open" button to access the website. When this option is disabled, the website opens directly.

Show the shortened URL

When this option is enabled, the root web address is displayed on the thumbnail (image) (www.exemple-de-site.com). The participant sees the name of the web page.
