Create an image-based game

Images aren't only used to illustrate content… Why not add a game to an image to get your participants actively involved in their learning. Let’s take a look!

1. To create a game with an image, add your image and add zones to it

To learn how to do this, visit the dedicated section.

2. Configure your games

Under your image, click on the “Puzzle” icon to open the game panel and select the game(s) you want to use.

– Find areas: the participant must locate a zone on the image and click on it.

– Name areas: the participant must name the zone Teach Up highlights in the image.

|| The thesaurus is enabled by default: Teach Up will accept answers close to the term to be found in the “Name areas” game.

Add a document (PDF, PowerPoint, Word)

PDF, PPT, Word… Want to share existing documents through your modules? Simply add a document to your Teach Up modules:

1. To add a document, click on “Document” under the Add bar

2. Import your document

There are two ways to import a document:

Option 1: Import your document from your computer's file explorer

Click on “Upload document (PDF, PowerPoint or Word)” to open your computer's file explorer, then select the folder and document required.

Option 2: Drag and drop your document

Select your document in your computer's file explorer and drag and drop it into the dedicated zone.

3. Select specific pages in your document

Select the pages you want to add to your module. You can select all the pages of your document by clicking on the “Select all” button at the top of the window. Click “OK” to confirm.

4. Give your document a name

In the title zone, give your document a name.

5. Replace certain pages in your document (optional)

Add a link to click at the end of a module

Want to link one module after another, or open a website at the end of a module? You can add a link to click at the end of a module:

1. To add a link to follow at the end of the module, click on the "last page" button

This button is located at the very bottom of your module overview.

2. Select the “Add a link” option

This option is disabled by default.

3. Add the link and customise the button

Under “End button label”, you can customise the button that participants click to access your link.

Under “Destination URL”, copy-paste your URL link.

||| Remember, when you share a link, make sure it can be freely accessed.

Want to add a link to an external site in your Teach Up modules? You can! Learn how!

1. To insert a link, click “More” under the “Add” bar

Then click “Link”:

2. Add your title and copy-paste your link

Type or copy-paste your title and add the internet link in the dedicated zones. Then click OK to confirm.

3. Add a description (optional)

You can add a description to your link. Write or copy and paste your text into the dedicated space.

4. Configure your link (optional)

There are three options to choose from under settings:

Show an introductory screen

When this option is enabled, the participant sees: the title, thumbnail (image) and description. The participant then clicks on the "Open" button to access the website. When this option is disabled, the website opens directly.

Show the shortened URL

When this option is enabled, the root web address is displayed on the thumbnail (image) (www.exemple-de-site.com). The participant sees the name of the web page.

Preview your module during the creation phase

On Teach Up, there are two ways to preview a specific component or your whole module during the creation phase:

1. Preview a component in your module

Click on the icon on the top-right of the component's title, then click “Preview this input”:

2. Preview your module in full

Click on “2. PREVIEW” in the black side bar on the left of the screen.
