This guide covers the initial login process for both authors/administrators and participants on the Teach Up platform.

First-time Login as an author or administrator
Teach Up provides two login methods:
- Standard Login: Access via email and password.
- SSO Login: Access through Single Sign-On (SSO).
Refer to the relevant section based on the login method assigned to your account. Both methods can be active simultaneously.
Standard Login (email and password access)
When a new author or administrator is added to a Teach Up account, an invitation email is sent to their registered email address. The sender will be noreply@teachup.com.
Follow these steps to complete your setup and access Teach Up as a new author or administrator:
- Open the invitation email from Teach Up and click “Complete My Account”.
- Enter your personal information (first name, last name, password).
- Accept the “Terms of Service”.
- Click “Complete My Account”.
- Use the created credentials to log in and click “Login”.
- The authoring studio’s homepage will display upon successful login.
SSO Login
To connect via SSO, follow these steps:
- Open the Teach Up invitation email and click “Complete My Account”.
- Click the SSO Login button.
- Accept the Terms of Service.
- Your account will be automatically created with your name, first name, and email, giving you immediate access to your Teach Up studio.
Note: The password for authors/administrators is never stored or visible on Teach Up.
First-time login as a participant
First login as a participant with an assigned activity
If an author assigns a course, training path, or assessment, follow these steps for your first login as a participant:
- You’ll receive an email notifying you of an assigned activity.
- Click the link in the email to open a page where you can create your account.
- Complete your personal information (first name, last name, password).
- Accept the Terms of Service.
- Click “Complete My Account”.
- Log in with your new credentials to access the assigned activity.
If SSO (Single Sign-On) is enabled:
- Click the link in the email.
- Select SSO Login and enter your credentials.
- Accept the Terms of Service.
- Your account will automatically be created with your name, first name, and email, redirecting you to the activity.
First login as a participant using a direct access link
If the course, assessment, or training path is shared via a direct access link, follow these steps for first-time login:
- Click on the activity link.
- Choose the option “Create My Account”.
- Enter your email address to receive a registration email.
- Open the email and click “Complete My Account”.
- Complete your personal information (first name, last name, password).
- Accept the Terms of Service.
- Log in with your credentials to access the activity.
If SSO (Single Sign-On) is enabled:
- Click on the activity link.
- Select the SSO Login button and enter your credentials.
- Accept the Terms of Service.
- Your account will be automatically created with your name, first name, and email, redirecting you to the activity.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do participants need to create an account to access activities?
Yes, unless SSO is enabled, which allows direct access to the activity without account creation.
Is it possible to customize the emails sent by Teach Up?
Currently, email customization is not available on Teach Up. However, this feature is in development and may be included in future updates.
