Insert a SCORM Package within a training path

Importing a SCORM package allows you to integrate content created with another tool into your training path. This feature is ideal for enhancing your training sessions.

Import a SCORM package into a training path

To include a SCORM package within a training path, follow these steps:

  1. Click the "Add a step" button in the training path creation toolbar.

  2. Select "SCORM file" from the available options.

  3. Upload your SCORM file in .zip format by dragging it into the dedicated area or clicking "Import".

  4. Enter the theoretical duration of the content to help participants manage their time effectively.

  5. Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the window to confirm and save the step.


⚠️ Note: If you distribute your training sessions via SCORM, it is not possible to include a SCORM file directly within your training path.

Accepted file extensions

Many extensions within SCORM packages are accepted by Teach Up. If the following error message appears during import:

"The file could not be imported into Teach Up. The extensions *.extension name are not allowed. Only SCORM packages in .ZIP format are supported. Ensure that they comply with SCORM standards. For unsupported extensions, please contact support to check if they can be integrated."

This means that the extension is not yet included in the list of extensions accepted by Teach Up. Contact our support team to have this extension added to the list of authorized extensions.

Limitations

Currently, Teach Up supports SCORM files under 100 MB*.

Configuring SCORM Package Options

To configure the options for your imported SCORM package:

  1. Click on the SCORM step within your training path.
  2. Access the "Module Display Mode" section and choose one of the following options:
    • "Open in a new tab": The module will open in a new browser tab.
    • "Open directly in he training path": The module will display in the same tab as the training path.

How the SCORM package is displayed for participants

When a participant clicks on a SCORM step, the content will open either directly within the training path or in a new tab, depending on the display mode configured.

The participant navigates through the content and, upon completion, clicks the "Return to training path" button to proceed to the next step.
