Create knowledge questions
To make your participants’ experience as personal as possible, ask at least two knowledge questions per key piece of content... Find out how!
Hover over the line between the white and grey background to reveal the “Check knowledge” button, and click on it.
A dialogue box will open, where you can type your question and the related answers.
To the right of the correct answer you can set alternative answers by clicking on "alt.". This option lets you add alternate spellings or answers that you want to accept as correct answers for games and questions with open answers.
You can add as many incorrect answers as you like.
By default, Teach Up suggests you create a question with a single answer. You can change this setting and create a question with multiple correct answers. To do this, click on the drop-down menu “Test knowledge” and select “Multiple choice”.
You can then type your question, like in step 2. The only thing that changes is the number of right answers: you can now add several correct answers by clicking “Add”.
You can fine-tune your question and set the number of correct answers the participant must find among your correct answers.
To do this, click on the button next to “Correct answers to be found” (under the last correct answer) and then select the relevant option from the drop-down menu.
Head to the “Correct answer and explanation” tab.
By default, the “Automatically generated explanation” option is enabled. This means that Teach Up will redisplay the content the question relates to.
You can write a custom explanation to add to or replace the automatic explanation.
There is also a space to add an image to your explanation.
Head to the “more options” tab.
Correction scale
You can change this option for “open-ended questions”: when you want the participant to write an exact answer, all the way down to the spelling, for example.
Minimum number of required correct answers
This option is only available for multiple-choice questions. This is the same option as the one covered in part 3.
