FAQs

1. Create a new module and activate the feature

To start creating your module with the AI Assistant, go to your studio and select "+ New Learning Module". Then enter the title of the module you want to create and select the associated department.

Once in the module, make sure to activate the "Creation Assistance" option.

Creation Assistance Option

2. Choose the background image

To automatically generate the background image for your module, select the "Suggestion" button. You can then choose a background image from an image bank, which will relate to the title of your training entered previously.

Automatic Background Image Generation

If you don't find a satisfactory image:

- Try modifying the title of your module and selecting the "Suggestion" button again.
- You can also manually add your background by selecting the "Add a background" button.

3. Configure the AI Assistant

The Teach Up AI Assistant has been trained to help you easily create your training. Activate it whenever you want to generate quality content while staying in control.

Select the "Let's go!" button.

AI Assistant

Enter the training objectives

Indicate the objective(s) of your training. Be as precise as possible: the AI Assistant will refer to the objective you indicated throughout the content generation process. The more precise your objective, the more the content generated by the AI Assistant will meet your expectations.

Example for a module on GDPR:

Objective 1: Know how to define personal data.
Objective 2: Know how to handle personal data in our company.
Integrate your reference documents

Import one or more files in PPT, Word, or PDF format. This reference support will serve as a unique source for content generation

Details on the nature of documents to import:

Accepted formats in this beta version: PowerPoints, Word documents, and PDFs.
Teach Up can read a document, regardless of its structure: from highly structured documents (such as tables) to documents without any framework.
Teach Up cannot read PowerPoint footnotes. Tip: convert your PPT to PDF including the notes to have them considered.
Teach Up cannot yet read websites. Tip: convert the webpage you are interested in into a PDF and import it as a document.
Teach Up cannot yet read videos and audio files to create content (currently, just YouTube for creating questions). Tip: get a script of the video or audio, transform it into a document and import it into Teach Up.

Optional: Go further

Enter information about "Who are the people to train?"

Enter information about the people you want to train. The more precise you are about the target and the level of learners, the better Teach Up will be able to generate content suited to your target.

Example in the GDPR module: "Everyone in the company must take this module. Very heterogeneous knowledge level on the subject."

Enter information in "Writing tips for the assistant"

Enter any information regarding the format of your content (type of language, use of emojis, degree of politeness, or information on how to spell your company name, etc.).

Example in the GDPR module: Address participants directly, give examples. Use formal address. Add life with emojis. Always write "Teach Up" this way.

Generate an introduction text and a three-point plan

Finally, select the "Generate" button to move on to designing your module. This action will automatically generate an introduction text and a three-step plan related to the information entered in the previous steps. If you do not wish to generate these two elements, uncheck them before selecting the "Generate" button.

AI Assistant

Once your assistant is configured, it can be modified. These modifications will affect the future content generated.

That's it, your AI Assistant is configured! Find the steps above in a video:

4. Generate content with the Teach Up AI Assistant

Once your AI Assistant is configured, you can now add content.
Select the "Add" button, then choose the desired format:

Content Creation

For more details, insert any content in the text box that can guide the subject of the content. Five levels of assistance are available based on your need:

Level 1 - Expert creation without assistance: you do not use the creation assistance and switch to "Expert Creation" mode.
Level 2 - Creation with assistance and a strong intention: you know the content you want to generate. Copy-paste the reference text block (the content), even long and unformatted, and choose the Teach Up content type you want to generate (the format).
Level 3 - Creation with assistance and a weak intention: indicate in the text box the topic you want to address at this stage of your training (the content) and choose the Teach Up content type you want to generate (the format).
Level 4 - Creation with assistance and without intention: do not indicate any information in the text box and only choose the Teach Up content type you want to generate (the format).
Level 5 - Creation delegated to the AI: do not indicate any information in the text box and choose the "auto" button to let Teach Up decide the type of content to generate.

5. Add knowledge questions

Your FAQs

Do these features work offline?
Creation with AI Assistance does not work offline; authors need to be connected to the Internet and Teach Up to benefit from it.

Does the AI Experience make mistakes?
Yes, it happens. The AI has been trained by humans on pedagogical, technical, and writing skills, which have been broken down into many very specific micro-tasks to simulate human intelligence. In some contexts, its choice may not seem relevant because, like a human, it had 2, 3, 10, or 100 possible content options.
To get the best quality: provide it with knowledge base documents centered on key content, be precise in formulating your learning objectives, provide context clues, describe your target audience, and most importantly, give specific instructions on the core subjects you want to address.

Why do the proposed contents not always follow the order of the document?
When you do not provide instructions, the AI decides to choose a particular topic that has not yet been addressed in the training. It retrieves all relevant data on this topic from the knowledge base you provided and creates content based on this data.

Does the AI only base itself on my content? Or also on content found on the Internet?
The AI only bases itself on the reference content you input at the beginning of your creation experience. We refuse to use generic content that does not belong to you. Teach Up enhances specific content that is important and exists in your organization, transforming it into high-value training.

What AI is used in Teach Up's AI Experience?
The generative AI used in this beta version is ChatGPT (various versions). ChatGPT is used only to imitate human language and nothing else.
In addition to generative AI, Teach Up also incorporates Predictive AI, proprietary and developed by Teach Up (on our servers), to adapt each training to the person playing it.

What about data protection? Are they used by ChatGPT?
To produce the AI Experience of Teach Up, we have contracted with OpenAI in its professional version, to be connected to all its generative AIs. OpenAI contractually commits that the data sent will not be used to train, retrain, or improve OpenAI's service models according to its general terms available here in English for the API operations we use: OpenAI Business Terms.
The AI collects the data you share only to provide the requested service and for the duration of the contract. Make sure that using OpenAI's services complies with your company's privacy policy before using Teach Up's AI Experience. If in doubt, do not put highly confidential documents in modules using generative AI.
