Access assessment settings

To begin configuring your assessment, follow these steps:

  1. Click the gear-shaped button at the top left of your assessment.
  2. Alternatively, access settings from the assessment’s end screen by clicking "Edit" under the score gauge.

Define global assessment settings

In the settings window, you can customize several elements of your assessment.

In an assessment, settings follow a strict hierarchy to determine their application. These settings cover three main elements: question format, draw order, and response time.

Hierarchy of Settings:

  • Individual Question Settings: highest priority. If a parameter (format, order, time) is set for a question, it overrides the settings for subsections and the overall assessment.
  • Subsection Settings: intermediate priority. Parameters defined at the subsection level override the global settings but can be further modified at the question level.
  • Global Settings: default. These apply to the entire assessment unless specific subsections or questions have different settings.

Define Question Format

You can select a global format for all questions in the assessment:

  • Open-ended question
  • Multiple Choice
  • Swipe cards
  • Mystery cards
  • Words Master
  • Word Search puzzle
  • Hidden answer

Define General Randomization Order

To set the general randomization order, choose one of the following options:

  • "Linear Order": Questions are presented in sequence.
  • "Random Sub-sections": Sub-sections appear in random order.
  • "Fully Random": All questions in the assessment appear in a random order.

Define Response Time

To set a time limit for answering all questions, follow these steps:

  1. Specify a default time for each question.
  2. If you do not want to impose a time limit, set the time to 0.

Set Score Conditioning

You can condition the assessment score by setting a threshold above which a participant is considered to have passed or failed. Additionally, you can customize messages based on the score achieved, which will be displayed on the participant’s end screen.

Define the passing score

The passing threshold, or minimum score required to pass, is represented by a green flag on the gauge. By default, this threshold is set at 70%. To adjust it:

  1. Drag the green flag to adjust the desired minimum score.
  2. Click the flag to open a window where you can customize the message shown to participants if they pass.

You can personalize your text by adding bold (textBold-1) or italic text (textItalic-1) and include emojis 🙌.

Customize additional scores

In addition to the passing threshold, you can also set a message for participants who did not achieve this score:

  1. Click the round icon on the far left of the gauge.
  2. A window will open where you can personalize the message shown to participants if they fail.

Confirm Settings

Once all settings are defined, click "Confirm" to validate them.
