Configure and retrieve the training certificates

Teach Up allows learners to download a certificate upon completion of their course, assessment, or training path. There are two types of certificates: completion certificates and success certificates.

  • Completion certificates can be configured for courses or training paths.
  • Success certificates are available at the end of an assessment, provided the learner passes.

These certificates become available for download by learners as soon as they complete their training. If you have the Platform subscription, you can also download certificates via the dashboards of each activity.

Configure certificates for courses, training paths, and assessments

To configure the certificate linked to the completion of a course, training path, or the success of an assessment, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the “Creation” tab of the relevant course, training path, or assessment.
  2. In the left-hand menu, select “Last page” (for a course or assessment) or “End of training path” (for a training path).
  3. Enable the “Download training certificate” option (for an assessment: “Download the certificate of achievement”).
  4. Click on “Customize the certificate edit-1”.

Customize certificates

Certificates—whether completion certificates for courses and training paths or success certificates for assessments—can be customized with the following elements:

  • Your logo
  • A description of the activity
  • Display of training time: either the actual time spent by the learner or the average time defined in advance
  • Display of the training organization's signature
  • A blank area for the learner's signature (the signature will not be recorded in Teach Up)
  • A footer annotation

Preview the certificate

Before finalizing the configuration, it is recommended to preview the certificate to ensure all elements are correctly displayed and that the certificate meets your expectations. To do this:

  1. Click on the “Preview eye-1 ” icon.
  2. Then click “Close” to return to the settings.

Download learner certificates via dashboards

With the Platform subscription, you can download learner certificates directly through the dashboards of each activity.

In order to retrieve a certificate from a learner, you have two options : 

  1. Download an individual certificate (PDF)

Go to the « Measure » graph-1 tab.

Click on the learner whose data you want to extract.

Select « Download documents ».

Certificates are in the files starting with « Certificate_».

  1. Download certificates for all learners (ZIP)

In « Measure », graph-1 select all learners.

Click on « Download documents ».

A ZIP file is generated with one document per learner.

Filter the files containing « Certificate » to isolate the correct PDFs.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I customize the certificate?

Go to the “Last page” tab of your course, assessment, or training path and configure the desired elements: logo, description, time spent, signatures, and footer annotations.

Can learners be asked to electronically sign their certificate?

It is currently not possible to request learners to electronically sign their certificate.

When is the training path certificate available to the learner?

As soon as the training path is completed, that is, when all its mandatory content is completed. The “Training certificate” button then appears on the training path home page, under the progress.

Does the training path certificate take optional content into account?

No. Sub-sections or steps with the “Optional” status (Macro Adaptive option) do not count in the progress: the certificate is available as soon as the mandatory content is completed, even if the learner has not opened the optional content. A training path has only one certificate: it is not possible to offer a second one once the optional content has been viewed. Why doesn't the certificate appear when I test my training path?

In preview mode, no data is recorded: the progress does not change, so the training path is never completed and the “Training certificate” button does not appear. To check the certificate, assign the training path to yourself or open it through its direct access link, and follow it as a learner. To preview the document only, use the “Preview” icon in the certificate settings. See Test content on Teach Up.
