When it comes to supporting the skills development of your teams, it is crucial to choose the right pedagogical format based on the desired goal to foster engagement and success. Teach Up offers three main activities to design engaging and effective training paths: the course, the training path, and the assessment. Each of these activities plays a vital role in the training of participants by offering different methods to learn, be evaluated, and follow a path tailored to their needs.

The course
When and how to use the course?
The primary goal of an e-learning course is to bring a target audience up to speed in acquiring specific knowledge and skills, enabling them to use these skills in context later on. Therefore, the course is designed to structure educational content in a clear and interactive way, making the learning process dynamic and engaging.
At Teach Up, we generally recommend e-learning courses that last between 5 and 20 minutes, focused on a specific objective that participants will need in their work environment.
Here are a few examples of how the course can be used:
- To convey knowledge on a specific topic, helping with memorization or revision of essential elements.
- To ensure a level of mastery on key subjects.
- To share best practices.
- To raise awareness or acculturate a population to a specific topic.
How to create a course?
To create a course on Teach Up, simply integrate various content such as text, images, documents, links, videos, and even audio files, all related to your educational goals. You can also easily reuse existing training content, whether Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, PDFs, images, etc.
The creation experience is enriched and simplified by automation and generative AI that provide convenience to your designers, whether they are beginners or experts in pedagogy and design.
Additionally, you can encourage collaborative learning by integrating social learning into your courses. Participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences asynchronously through polls and contribution walls, which can be integrated throughout your training.
To reinforce retention and maintain participant attention, you can gamify your learning experience, adapting it in real-time to the expertise level of each participant, thanks to the Adaptive Learning. It’s simple: highlight the key points and ask questions about important topics. Teach Up, enhanced by generative AIs that act as super assistants, will handle the rest!

The assessment
When and how to use the assessment?
The Teach Up assessment, as its name implies, evaluates a participant’s level on a given topic through a questionnaire. It complements the e-learning course, which also quizzes participants in a formative manner.
Assessments can take different forms depending on the educational objectives of your training setup. They can be used to:
- Evaluate the participant's level of mastery on a given topic at the end of a course.
- Allow the participant to self-assess at the beginning and/or end of a training path to observe progress.
- Recognize and reward participant success through certification, proving mastery and expertise in one or more competencies.
- Animate a synchronous training session with quick and interactive quizzes.
How to create an assessment?
Creating an assessment on Teach Up follows the same logic as creating a course.- Start by creating your questions, organizing them into groups or sections for a logical or random progression, depending on your educational needs.
- Then, set the minimum score required to pass the assessment, and personalize the feedback messages to congratulate participants or offer advice on areas to improve.
- Finally, configure the success certificate that the participant can download to attest to their mastery of the competence.

The training path
When and how to use the training path?
A training path, also known as a SPOC (Small Private Online Course), consists of combining various educational formats to serve a specific objective. The goal is to guide the participant in acquiring multiple skills within a specific framework and track their progress throughout the path.
On Teach Up, a training path can include a wide range of formats to achieve a given educational goal: in-person sessions, e-learning courses, assessments, virtual classes, AFEST, videos, documents, links to websites or Cloud storage, SCORM modules produced with another authoring tool, immersive experiences, and more.
Once the elements of the path are in place, the designer can create conditions between steps and define what will be optional, mandatory, or dependent on the participant’s level (Adaptive).
Teach Up also integrates Macro Adaptive Learning, which allows learning to be personalized at the training path level.
After a self-assessment (at the start of the path or at the beginning of each section), Teach Up’s algorithms define a tailored program for each participant and propose a personalized path based on the participant’s results. Depending on their level of mastery, only the relevant steps will be presented to them. The goal is to highlight the skills already acquired by the participant, save time in their learning process, and thus increase their engagement in the training.
How to create a training path?
Creating a training path is simple and intuitive:
- Start by structuring your training into different sections.
- In each section, add your content (courses, assessments, in-person sessions, videos, SCORM, etc.). Then, define the conditions between steps.
- Work on your introductions and visuals to make your path immersive and attractive.
- Finally, configure Macro Adaptive Learning: determine which courses will be mandatory, optional, or adaptive, and work on your initial positioning test.
