Organize the studio with labels
Labels in Teach Up help you efficiently organize your courses, assessments, and training paths. You can create personal or shared labels depending on your needs. This guide explains how to create labels, tag your content, and quickly retrieve activities using labels.

Create a label
Teach Up allows you to create two types of labels to help structure your content:

Personal labels, which are only visible to the person who created them.

Shared labels, which are visible to all designers—or specific departments, if that feature is enabled.
To create a label in Teach Up:

Go to the “Studio” section.

Click the pencil icon next to “Labels.”

You now have two options:
In the “Personal Labels” tab:

Click “Create a label.”

Enter a name for your label (e.g., “Country”) and choose a color to make it easy to spot.

Click “Confirm.”
In the “Shared Labels” tab:

Click “Create a label” under the “Common to all” section to make it accessible to all designers, or to each department if the “Departments” feature is enabled on the account.

Name the label, select a color, then confirm.

Edit or delete a label
To edit or delete a label:

Click the pencil icon next to “My labels.”

Click the pencil again on the label you want to update.

You can modify both the label name and its color.

To delete the label, click the cross icon.
Tag a course, assessment, or training path with a label
To associate a label with an activity (course, assessment, or training path):

Find the activity you want to tag.

Click the three dots to access its options.

Select “Associated labels” from the menu.

Choose the desired label and click “Confirm.”
A flag icon will appear on the activity to show it has been tagged.

Find activities by label
To view all activities associated with a label:

In the left-hand column of the Studio, go to the “Labels” section.

Click “Personal” or “Shared” depending on the type of label.

Select the label you want.
A list of all activities tagged with that label will be displayed.

Can I share a label with other designers?
Yes, you can use shared labels.
What’s the difference between a personal and a shared label?
A personal label is private and only visible to its creator. A shared label can be accessed by all users—or by specific departments, depending on the configuration.
How many labels can I create?
There is no limit to the number of labels you can create, whether they’re personal or shared.
How do I delete a label I no longer use?
Click the cross icon next to the label to permanently delete it.
