Access the participant portal (learner space)
From a course, assessment, or training path, participants can access their portal by clicking the "Back to my portal" button (available in the navigation bar on the left or at the top of the screen) or by visiting the link: https://app.teachup.com/learner.
Features and information about the participant portal (learner space)
In their portal, participants can view all the experiences they have started, completed, or been assigned.
These experiences are organized into two categories that can be filtered:
- In progress: for experiences not started or still being completed.
- Completed: for finished experiences.
For each experience, participants can quickly see the type of activity (course, assessment, or training path) and the time spent on it.
By clicking the activity name, participants can directly access it. This allows them to resume their progress, restart the course if this option has been activated by the author, or review certain parts of the course and the end screen.
Access to the catalog
This feature is enabled for those with the "Catalog" option.
Participants can self-assign one or more activities by following these steps:
- Click "Discover the catalog".
- Browse the available activities in the catalog.
- Click the "Sign up
" button to self-assign the activities of interest.

Once these steps are completed, the selected activities will appear in the participant's in-progress activities.

Personalization of the participant portal (learner space)
The participant portal can be customized with your company's colors and logo.
This personalization can be completed by an administrator through the "Subscription and configuration" tab in your Teach Up studio.

If the « Participant departments » feature is enabled on your account, you can tailor the appearance of the participant space according to the participant’s department.
To customize the participant space for a department:
- Go to the « Departments » tab.
- Select the relevant department from the list on the left.
- Click on the paintbrush icon.
- Choose whether to use the account’s general style or define a specific customization.
- If needed, add a dedicated logo and a primary color for this department.
This allows participants to access a space that reflects their department, helping reinforce visual identity and organizational consistency.
Please note: if a participant belongs to more than one department, the default account configuration will be applied instead of a department-specific customization.

How can I access the participant portal (learner space) as an author?
To access the participant portal as an author, follow these steps:
- Create a participant account: You need to have a participant account. You can create one using the same email address as your author account.
- Switch to the participant portal: Once the account is created (or if you already have a participant account), from your Teach Up studio:
- Click on your account icon at the top right.
- In the drop-down menu, select "Switch space."
- Click on "Participant portal" to switch to this space.
This will allow you to view the content in the same way as your participants.
