Create a new training path
To begin, log in to Teach Up and access your design studio. Click on "New Activity", select "Training Path", and then click "Create".
When setting up a training path, configure the following options to enhance the participant experience:
- Language: Select the language for the training path (this cannot be changed once set).
- Department: Choose the associated department if enabled on your account.
- Title: Provide a clear title to help participants easily identify the training path.
- Description: Write a concise description presenting the objectives and content.
- Image or Video: Add an image or video to make the homepage more visually engaging.
Set up the homepage
Personalize the homepage by configuring the following elements:
- Logo: Upload your organization or training path logo.
- Background: Customize the background to match the visual identity of your training path.
- Template: Choose a layout template that suits the desired presentation.
- Visibility: Adjust visibility settings to control access to the training path.
Create a section
Begin designing your training path by assigning a title and description, then click Continue. Name the first section to start structuring the content.
Add content
Once your first section is named, add content by clicking Add Step. You can choose from six content types:
- Teach Up Module: Integrate a pre-existing Teach Up module into the training path.
- Document: Import images, PDFs, Excel files, or other downloadable documents.
- External Link: Add websites or digital tools by copying the HTML link into the provided field.
- Event: Schedule an event by specifying the date, time, location, or online link. Participants can add it to their electronic calendar.
- Video: Embed a video by pasting the HTML link after selecting "Video" as the content type.
- SCORM Package: Upload a SCORM package created with another authoring tool by selecting SCORM Package and uploading your .zip file.
Structure the training path
After integrating initial content, continue structuring your training path by adding new sections. In the SPOC editor, click Add Section to add additional parts.
Define access conditions
Set access conditions to allow participants access to specific parts of the training path under certain conditions. In each desired section, you can specify the conditions, and you can also define access settings for individual content items.
Determine steps for overall mastery calculation
Identify which steps in your training path should contribute to overall mastery calculation, such as assessments, Teach Up modules, or SCORM packages.
Note: Only assessments, Teach Up modules, and SCORM packages can be included in mastery calculations.
Configure macro-adaptive options
To configure macro-adaptive settings within the training path, refer to the dedicated article.
Frequently Asked Questions
If a participant has already completed a module, will they need to redo it if it’s included in a new training path?
Yes, the participant will need to retake the module within the training path, even if they completed it previously. Each module in a training path has its own progression, so prior completions are not automatically applied.
