  1. Select the "Let’s start!" button.
  2. Follow the configuration steps to personalize the Assistant based on your needs.

To configure the settings of your AI Assistant, follow the three steps below.

Enter training objectives

The AI Assistant uses the objectives you provide to guide the content generation. The more precise your objectives are, the better the content will match your expectations.

Example of objectives: GDPR course

Objective 1: Learn how to define personal data.

Objective 2: Understand how to handle personal data in the company.

Import reference documents

Under the “Knowledge Base” tab, insert various types of content related to the topic at hand:

  • Voice: record your voice to add essential insights that the AI Assistant will consider when generating content.

  • Documents: integrate additional materials such as PDFs or presentations.
The following file types are allowed: *.pdf, *.txt, *.docx, *.pptx, *.mp3, *.wav, *.m4a, *.webm, *.png, *.jpg, *.jpeg (maximum size: 30 MB).

  • Links: easily connect your ideas and content using intuitive internal and external links. Regardless of the language, Teach Up handles the translation. Only the content from the imported link is used.

  • Explanatory notes: insert annotations or comments. You can also copy/paste excerpts you’ve retrieved from a website, an email, etc.

Add additional information

  • "Participant information": Define your target audience in the "Who are the people to be trained?" field. The more specific you are, the better the content will be adapted.

Example: All employees in the company must take this course. Knowledge levels are varied.

  • "Writing guidelines for the assistant": Add instructions regarding the tone and format of your content: tone to adopt, use of emojis, etc.

Example: Use a direct tone, include concrete examples, address the participants formally, and ensure "Teach Up" is written correctly.

Generate an introduction and a plan

After configuring the AI Assistant, you can automatically generate:

  • an introduction
  • a three-step plan

If you do not want to generate these elements, uncheck the option before selecting the "Generate" button.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are AI features available for assessments?
For now, Generative AI features are only available within a course, not within an assessment.

Can videos be used to feed the AI Assistant’s knowledge base?
No. Videos, including those with subtitles, cannot be used by Teach Up to enrich the AI Assistant’s knowledge base. Only text-based content is currently supported to generate AI responses.

Can Teach Up create a full course automatically with AI (in one click)?
No, creating a complete course still requires going through the AI Assistant and generating each part step by step. The assistant helps guide the process, but every section of the course must be built progressively to ensure a coherent and customizable result.

How do I update the content after modifying the assistant AI’s knowledge base?
When you add, remove, or edit a document in the assistant AI’s knowledge base, follow this process to ensure updates are reflected in the content:

  1. Click “Edit” to return to the assistant AI configuration.

  2. Update your documents (add, delete, or modify).

  3. Click the “Generate again” button (do not click “Confirm” only).

  4. The “Document analysis” window will open automatically — this confirms your changes have been successfully processed.

  5. Once the analysis is complete, return to the relevant content (e.g. a recipe), click “Edit instruction”, then “Regenerate” to refresh the data.

This ensures that all generated content is based on the most recent version of your knowledge base.
