The automatic translation feature simplifies the deployment of your training courses internationally with just one click. With this functionality, you can quickly adapt your content to the needs of your participants while maintaining precise control over the translation through personalized instructions.

The "Automatic Translation" feature is an additional option in Teach Up, subject to a dedicated pricing plan and available exclusively to users with the "Generative AI" option. For activation details, please contact our support team.

Automatically translate a module or an assessment

To translate a module or assessment automatically, follow these steps:

  1. From the studio, select the three dots menu at the top right of your module (in thumbnail view) or to the right of your module (in list view).
  2. Click on "Translate Automatically".
  3. Choose the target language.

The supported languages are: 🇫🇷 French (FR), 🇺🇸 English (EN), 🇩🇪 German (DE), 🇪🇸 Spanish (ES), 🇮🇩 Indonesian (ID), 🇮🇹 Italian (IT), 🇯🇵 Japanese (JA), 🇰🇷 Korean (KO), 🇵🇱 Polish (PL), 🇵🇹 Portuguese (PT), 🇷🇺 Russian (RU), 🇺🇦 Ukrainian (UK), 🇨🇳 Chinese (ZH).

  1. Configure the advanced options.
  2. Click on "Duplicate and Translate".

A new translated module or assessment will be created in your studio in the selected language.

⚠️ Your module or assessment will be duplicated, and the text content will be translated automatically. However, certain elements, such as multimedia content (images, videos, audio files, etc.), will not be included in this translation. Be sure to review your module after translation.

In the advanced options, you can provide custom translation instructions, such as a glossary for specific terminology or guidelines on tone and style to ensure consistency.

General Instructions

  • Maintain specific culinary terms:
    • "Pizza dough" → "pâte à pizza"
    • "Starter" → "levain"
    • "Proofing" → "apprêt"
  • Convert imperial measurements to metric system:
    • "2 cups of flour" → "250 g de farine"
    • "375°F" → "190°C"
  • Use a clear, instructional tone with the polite "vous" form for addressing participants.

Example Sentence Translation

  • EN: "Let the pizza dough rest for 1 hour at room temperature to allow the fermentation process to develop flavors."
  • FR: "Laissez reposer la pâte à pizza pendant 1 heure à température ambiante afin de permettre au processus de fermentation de développer les arômes."

✔️ Always address the participants with "vous", maintaining a respectful and professional tone.
✔️ Translate "pizza dough" as "pâte à pizza", not simply "pâte".

Frequently Asked Questions

Which elements are not translated automatically?

Multimedia content (images, videos, audio files, and external links) are not automatically translated. You will need to replace them manually in the translated modules.

Are dashboards for different language versions of the same module combined?
No, dashboards are not aggregated across multiple language versions of the same module. Each module has its own independent dashboard.

Is there a link between the source module and its translation?
No, the translation creates an independent copy of the module. Any modifications made to the original module will not be reflected in the translated version.


Can I create a global translation glossary for all my training courses?
No, a new glossary must be created for each translation.


Can training paths be translated automatically?
No, automatic translation does not yet apply to training paths.

However, you can follow this process:

  1. Translate each module and assessment using the automatic (or manual) translation option.
  2. Duplicate the training path into the desired language.
  3. Manually translate the introductory content of the training path and its sections.
  4. Replace the original modules and assessments with their translated versions.
